LSU is expected to hire Lane Kiffin from Ole Miss on Sunday with a lucrative offer to make him one of the highest-paid coaches in the sport, ESPN reported early Sunday morning.

Sources told ESPN late Saturday that the expectation is LSU, a day after its regular season ended, will hire Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin, 50, on Sunday as its new coach, and that the deal will cover seven seasons at an annual average of around $12 million.

Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin says he feels he like he has to make an announcement about his coaching future by Saturday and says doing so won't be “as enjoyable as people think.”

Lane Kiffin is heading to LSU to be their head coach, according to reports, and Ole Miss already has some replacement options.

Lane Kiffin told ESPN's Taylor McGregor he has "a lot of praying to do" on his coaching future following Ole Miss' Egg Bowl win on Nov. 28.
